about

In 1945 the people of Finland gave the City of Warsaw a handful of prefab wooden houses. The city had been leveled by the Nazis and held for six years.

You can still see the houses today. The little houses are located in a park in the middle of town near Poland's Sejm parliament building. They were occupied by artists and architects whose families worked to rebuild the city from the ground up. Several generations of families have survived Communism and grown up here.

To make way for new foreign embassies, the houses may soon be destroyed and this beautiful bit of history will be forgotten if the local politicians have their way. This music was recorded in our family's little wooden house on Jazdów Street and is dedicated to the next generation, Zosia, Stasz, Guczo, Ignatz and all the rest.

Proceeds from the sale of this music will go to a legal fund to preserve the houses on Jazdów Street.
