Following John Cage's specific instructions I have prepared and then unprepared my studio piano. Soon the instrument will be prepared again... and then unprepared all over again. The music is improvised with the notion of the original percussion instrument conceived in 1949 in mind. Played with a debt to Sun Ra, Monk, Chestnut, Mitchell, Stockhausen, Satie, Poulenc and others.

Cliff Baldwin is a composer and filmmaker. His work has been shown at Anthology Film Archives, The Kitchen, PS1, Parrish Museum and aired on NPR. His compositions are played by the BCR Big Band in Kansas City, MO. He founded the Aquebogue Contemporary Music Ensemble in 2014. He performs live film and music sets solo.
